About me

As a fully qualified and experienced counsellor, I offer a safe and creative space for clients to discover new ways to cope with or change those aspects of their lives that are distressing or unsatisfying.

I believe that gaining a better understanding of ourselves, with all our vulnerabilities and strengths, can help us make choices that serve us better and strengthen our ability to meet life’s challenges. I work alongside my clients to find a way through their current concerns that is helpful to them now and that they can draw on in the future.

My core training is psychodynamic.  I believe that having an awareness of where our present behaviour has been unconsciously influenced by past experiences frees up more choices and helps us to avoid repeating patterns of behaviour that end up causing us pain.

I also integrate techniques from post-qualification workshops and training in, for example, trauma, CBT and creative interventions where appropriate, to ensure that my approach is flexible and responsive to my client’s individual needs.

I work both long and short-term on a one-to-one basis with a diverse range of adults of all ages. As well as offering more general counselling, I am experienced in working with issues relating to abuse, anxiety, bereavement, depression, identity, loss, personal development, relationships, self esteem, and stress.

Feel free to get in touch for an initial chat over the phone about working with me or about counselling generally – tel: 07510 993409 –  if I’m not able to take your call at the time, I will get back to you as soon as possible. You are also welcome to contact me by email.
